The enclosed article from The Camden New Journal reflects the type of work the gallery showed at the London Art Fair between 20-24 January 2016. The works were really well received.
Brodzky, a virtually unknown name for many, seemed to be the most popular of the artists with Jacob Kramer a close second. Our Bomberg painting, from 1943, and his ink washes from 1919 were much admired. The Epstein sculpture of Sunita, encouraged by us to be touched, became a great favourite of children. Members of the Borough Group pioneered by the Boundary Gallery, with their first exhibition as a group in 2004, were noticed by the followers of this school of painting, including Miles Richmond, Dorothy Mead, Lillian Holt, Dennis Creffield and Lesley Marr.
“Every mark that goes on to the canvas splits and penetrates the surface, creating a space
and form, giving meaning to something that is no longer paint and canvas.”
On the whole it was a great success and the Boundary Gallery acquired new contacts, a new following.
